State of the art – the GGS Library

With over 10,000 books, access to more than 150,000 eBooks, articles from thousands of international eJournals plus 90 print magazines and newspapers in the lounge, the various media in our modern library offer a solid informational resource. GGS library holdings are designed to meet the needs of researchers, instructors and students. The 800 m² facility has 90 work spaces, a deck, and a newspaper lounge for library users.

GGS Catalogue & eLibrary

The GGS Library offers two research modalities: the GGS Catalogue and the GGS eLibrary. Library users who have set up their Proxyserver account can access both resources from any location.

to the Catalogue

The GGS Catalogue lists all print books and newspapers in the GGS collection as well as all Springer eBooks. The Catalogue is primarily useful to locate items from GGS library holdings (e.g., module literature).

to the e-Library

The GGS eLibrary is suitable for a more thorough search on a given topic. The user can search all electronic resources simultaneously (articles in full text databases, the GGS Catalogue, newspaper archives, metadata, and open access data).

Available are the following databases within the eLibrary:

  • ABI/Inform Research
  • Beck Online
  • Business Source Complete
  • Elsevier ScienceDirect
  • Juris Spectrum
  • Statista

The GGS library is a participant of the national licenses by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
