The Young Entrepreneur Scholarship

Are you considering the idea of being an entrepreneur or have you already started your own company?

We support young start-up entrepreneurs with a 75% Scholarship to our MBA programme. Along with the requisite management and legal knowledge, our programme offers the chance to strengthen your soft skills. You will also benefit from working with one of GGS's experienced startup coaches, who will advise you individually and put you in contact with partners of interest.

Merit Scholarships

GGS awards up to three merit scholarships for the MBA programme according to the following criteria:

  • GPA or final grade in bachelor’s degree
  • Community and social engagement
  • Leadership competency (result from the Admissions Day)
  • Potential to make an exceptional contribution at GGS

Upon successful admission following the Admissions Day, all future students have the opportunity to apply for special scholarships.

The special scholarships are awarded by a Scholarship Committee composed of an alumnus/alumna, a member of the management faculty, and the director of academic programmes. The committee selects the recipients approximately six weeks before the programme begins.

Fore more information about the application for the special scholarship please contact Simone Feger, 07131 645636-37, e-mail

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

In addition to the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, which supports every GGS student with a scholarship, numerous other institutions and foundations in Germany offer a variety of scholarships to students. We have put together a list of established entities. To help you find your way through the scholarship maze, services like e-fellows and mystipendium offer scholarship-finders on their websites.

Financing through Festo Bildungsfonds

Educational funds follow a different idea. Backed by private and institutional investors, they enable selected students to have an efficient and fully focussed educational experience by providing financial support for tuition and living costs as well as support for periods of study in other countries.

While the student is enrolled, he/she receives an agreed upon monthly sum. There is no firm amount to be repaid and also no interest. Instead, the loan recipient repays a previously determined percentage of his/her actual income once the degree has been completed. A loan recipient who earns little or nothing repays little or nothing. This represents an advantage in times of minimal earnings, unemployment, or family leave. High earners, by contrast, repay at a higher rate, according to their ability.

In collaboration with the investment company Festo Bildungsfonds, GGS offers funding for your education for which you agree to an income-based repayment of the accumulated costs after you complete your degree. In practical terms: Get your degree now, and later, after your career leap, pay back the remaining amounts for tuition and/or living costs.

The Festo financing option provides much more than the sort of loan you can get from a bank. "As an alternative to classical financing, Festo Bildungsfonds offers risk-free and innovative income-based financing plus a comprehensive, individualised and career-oriented qualification programme connected to an interesting network of innovative businesses and universities," explains Dr. Peter Speck, Director of the Festo Bildgunsfonds, Professor at the University of Stuttgart.

Steuerliche Absetzbarkeit
